I was born & raised on the North East coast of England and I have lived and worked in London and Los Angeles, prior to settling in Omaha. In the past, I have worked in a variety of roles, all creative & some managerial, holding a range of positions including General Manager, Managing Director, and Board Chairman.
Since switching to the mental health care field, I have studied at the Metanoia Institute in London, Pepperdine University in Los Angeles, the University of Nebraska – Lincoln (UN-L), and University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC). I hold a masters’ degree in Marriage & Family Therapy (2005), and a post-graduate certificate in Medical Family Therapy, which leads me to conceptualize all my work from a systemic perspective. I have worked at all levels of care; including in-patient, partial & out-patient settings. My focus is very much on relationships, particularly with couples. I have had extensive training with the Crucible Institute® and continue to engage in ongoing education & regular case consultations. You can read more about my training in the Crucible Approach to couples and sex therapy here.
I am a licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP) in Nebraska and a board certified and independently licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LIMFT). I am a Clinical Fellow of the American Association for Marriage & Family Therapy (AAMFT) and I am a Past-President of both the Nebraska Association for Marriage & Family Therapy and the Association of Private Practice Therapists. I am also an AAMFT Approved Supervisor.
It is with all of the above experience and two decades of clinical practice that I now offer life coaching for individuals, relationship coaching for marriages & intimate partnerships, as well as business relationship consulting for family owned and run businesses.
